Twittering

My social media week option I pick was twitter. Tweeting did not come easy to me at first because I am not someone who like to tell everyone what I'm doing or care to know what everyone is doing every second of the day. I did learn that Twitter can help you stay in touch with events going on at your school and that it can be addicting.  Luckily I resisted it before I got completely pulled in.  I think I will try and work into it slowly as college goes by.

I am not that surprised on how many people have social media accounts like on Facebook or Twitter but the fact it grew so fast is really surprising. I think it does help people to get to know others when they have accounts on these websites but it is kind of keeping people from getting out and enjoying the outside and real contact with others.  I do like how Mexico is using Twitter and Facebook to crack down on crime.

In all I think social media week is a good thing to do.  It teaches students about how to become more connected with their friends and organizations of interest.  I might not like Twitter that much yet but I glad I know how to use it and maybe will like it in the future.

Know Yourself

The MBTI is a helpful survey for employers to get to know a person before they actually meet them so they can get an idea and for people who would like to get a better insight into themselves.

I was not surprised in the way mine turned out.  I do like to take in information through hands on learning using my five senses.  Thinking about what I will do next logically is something I do a lot which can make life a little boring.  The fact that I like to be spontaneous sometimes show I like to shut off that logical thinking for some fun.  Sometimes I like to do all fun and no work but that never last long.

The spontaneous side of me thought I should try something new when I picked twitter for social media week.  I found it to be hard than expected to get twenty tweets because I think showing feelings is a waste of time.  I also don’t like to get involved in all the internet things because it was just the way I was raised to do stuff by hand.
